Ahlin improves to 10-0 with TKO victory in Wembley

Oscar Ahlin (10-0, 9 KOs) improved to 10-0 with the technical knock out of Latvian ‘Viking’ Olegs Fedotovs (18-16, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

Ahlin, who returned following an injury lay off, picked up where he left off with another victory against tough opposition in the English capital.

‘’I was pleased with how I performed,’’ said the Swedish ‘Goldenboy’. ‘’I’d been out for a while so I felt a little rusty at first. But I think I did well, and most importantly I got the job done. Fedotovs was a tough opponent but I felt I had him under pressure for most of the fight. I was happy to get the stoppage in the sixth round.’’

Ahlin was fighting on the undercard of Team Sauerland stablemate George Groves’ WBC final eliminator and European Championship challenge.

‘’It was awesome to fight on such a big show,’’ said the Stockholm-boxer. ‘’I loved it. The UK is really a big boxing nation and you could feel that in the air. I hope I get the opportunity to fight there again.’’

In the main event Groves a scored unanimous decision victory over the tough Frenchman Christopher Rebrasse to claim the European super middleweight crown and a shot at WBC World Champion Anthony Dirrell.
