Andrew Tabiti confident he will improve to 9-0 on Friday night

By Jody Kohn

Andrew Tabiti has started to create some buzz in the boxing community and it’s easy to see why as the hard punching cruiserweight is an impressive 8-0 with 8 knockouts so far in his young career.  Though he has been brought along slowly, he is sure to take a step up in class shortly as people start to wonder if he is a future title contender.

Friday night he looks for KO number nine as he takes part on the ShoBox card that will feature Erislandy Lara taking on Ishe Smith, who is a teammate of Tabiti’s.

We spent afew minutes with Andrew just as he finished his final workout in Las Vegas and headed out to San Antonio.  While he is certain of prevailing in the fight, he is wondering if the 100% knockout rate has become somewhat of a burden.
