Jessie Magdaleno headlines at home in 2015

JESSIE MAGDALENO will return home to take on Erik Ruiz of Oxnard, Ca. at Texas Station Gambling Hall and Casino on a big Top Rank boxing card on Saturday, January 10.

Magdaleno, 19-0, 15 KOs, is from Las Vegas. He has been training in Palm Springs, Ca. with Joel Diaz who also is the chief trainer for Timothy Bradley. Magdaleno is managed by Frank Espinoza in California.

Ruiz has a record of 13-1, 6 KOs. Magdaleno vs Ruiz will headline a seven-bout card.

“Jessie Magdaleno is among the best worldwide in his division (super bantamweight),” Diaz said. “He’s explosive, has power in both hands and has great defense. He is getting close to fighting for a world title.”

The big card will also feature Saul Rodriguez, a 15-0-1 super featherweight from Riverside, California and Victor Pasillas, an 8-0-0 featherweight from East L.A.  Their opponents will be announced.

Doors in the DALLAS EVENTS CENTER open 6 pm and the first bout will be at 6:30 pm. The main bouts will be on Top Rank’s Solo Boxeo Tecate series televised by by UniMas.

Tickets $50, $25 plus applicable fees are now on sale at Stations Casinos and on TICKETMASTER.COM.
