Bally’s, Atlantic City , New Jersey – Joel Diaz (11-0, 10 KOs) stopped Guillermo Sanchez (13-7-1, 5 KOs) in the second round of a junior lightweight fight. Sanchez decided not to come out for the third round after getting battered in the second.
Junior middleweight prospect, Glen Tapia (15-0, 9 KOs) wasted no time in knocking out Franklin Gonzalez (15-11, 10 KOs) in the first two minutes of the first round. Gonzalez was counted out after dropping to the canvas for the second time.
