Q & A with junior lightweight prospect Andy Vences

This Monday February 17th the Golden Boy Live Series will find itself coming from the Storm House in Salinas, California, where on a card promoted by Hall of Famer Don Chargin in association with Paco Presents two of the areas most popular fighters will be featured.

In the main event scheduled for ten rounds, undefeated junior featherweight and Fairfield native Manuel “Tino” Avila (13-0, 5 KO’s) will face off with veteran Enrique “Cuate” Quevedo (15-6-1, 9 KO’s) of Baja, Mexico, while in a co-attraction of the same length Salinas’s own Paul “El Gallo Negro” Mendez (14-2-2, 6 KO’s) risks his IBA Continental middleweight title in taking on Texan Raul “El Tigre” Casarez (20-4, 9 KO’s)

These are two solid match ups which will be aired live on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Deportes beginning at 10pm ET/7pm PT with TV implications a distinct possibility for swing bout contestant and little known junior lightweight upstart Andy Vences, who no less a blossoming talent is a someone to be mindful of.
