Danny Garcia Drills Amir Khan in Vegas KO Shocker

Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas – Amir Khan (26-3, 18KOs) was shocked as a pre-Khan crown watched Danny Garcia (24-0, 15KOs) knock him down three times for a fourth round stoppage to unify the WBC/WBA 140-pound titles and also captured the vacant Ring title.

Khan came out being aggressive and trying to land something big in the very first round. Khan’s hand speed was dominating the action. The action picked up in the second and Garcia suffered a cut above the right eye.

In the third round, Garcia landed a counter left that blasted Khan on the chin and nearly put him away in the final minute. Khan went down hard and was nearly stopped as the clock ran out to save him.

At the start of the fouth, Garcia went right after Khan and put him down for the second time in the fight. Garcia tried to put Khan away and they were trading hard shots. Near the end of the round, Garcia dropped him again with a combination. Khan got up, and his legs were jelly. The referee waved off the fight.
