We spoke with boxing trainer Jeff Mayweather just before he left Las Vegas to make his way to New York where he will work with WKA champion Amer Abdallah. Abdallah is currently the 5th ranked kickboxer in the world and he will be taking on James Wallis, the European champion on June 7.
Mayweather has become a very well rounded trainer in combat sports, working with high profile fighters in boxing, MMA and kickboxing. As one of the best trainers in the world, it is not surprising that combatants in other sports besides boxing would seek out his advice. He believes that his work with Abdallah will help the talented fighter reach his goal of a world title within the next year.
