Mickey Bey says John Molina doesn’t want a rematch

Back in July, Mickey Bey saw his unbeaten record go by the wayside when he was knocked out in the final round of a fight he had completely dominated up until that point.  While most observers felt the stoppage was justified, Bey believes that he was capable of continuing when the referee waved off the fight.

A loss like that can be difficult to get over, especially for a fighter who has never tasted defeat before.  However, when talking to Bey, he says that the setback makes him more determined than ever to show that he is among the best fighters in the world.  He expects to return to action in November, when he will set out to prove just that, although he is unable to mention any possible opponents at this time.

One name he would like to face again is John Molina.  However, Bey said that Molina has denied the invitation.  That is probably a wise decision considering how all but the final moments of their previous encounter went.

In this interview, Bey talks about rebounding from his first loss, as well as how Floyd Mayweather told him that he thought of Bey during the final round of his fight with Canelo Alvarez.  Stay tuned to PBI for more information on Bey’s return to action.
