Pavlik wins in a dominating fashion

Hard Rock Resort & Casino, Las Vegas –Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik(39-2, 33 KOs) stopped Scott “Cujo” Sigmon(22-4, 12KOs) officially, in the eighth round. Sigmon was outclassed and beat down throughout the seven completed rounds by the former world middleweight champion. The ringside doctor put an end to the fight and saved the bloody faced Sigmon from further punishment. This was Pavilk’s second fight with trainer Roberto Garcia in his corner. The bout was at the super middleweight limit.

Featherweight Jesse Magdaleno(10-0, 7 KOs) remained undefeated with a first round TKO over Carlos Valcarcel(12-5-4, 5 KOs), the former 2000 Olympian from Puerto Rico. Valcarcel was dropped early in the round. After getting up from a knockdown, Magdaleno battered Valcarcel against the ropes until referee Tony Weeks halted the bout.
