Frank Buglioni: I’ll hit the target

Unbeaten super-middleweight star Frank Buglioni says he’ll be on target when he takes on German rival Christian Pawlack for the Vacant WBO European title at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday 30th November.

Buglioni, 24, was disappointed to see England lose 1-0 to Germany in last night’s friendly at Wembley without a shot on target, but has promised to deliver the goods against Pawlack in his first title challenge.

It’s a tough challenge for the hard-hitting Enfield ace who is undefeated in ten fights with seven knockouts, Pawlack has more experience with 20 wins out of 26 with 11 stoppages and has never been stopped.

“It was a disappointing performance by England and like everyone else I expected better in a showdown against our German rivals even though it was a friendly,” Said Buglioni.

“Apart from Andros Townsend hitting the post, we did not have a shot on target which is pretty poor and with the previous loss to Chile it’s been a pretty horrendous time for the national team,”

“Hopefully I will lift the mood when I take on Pawlack a week on Saturday at the Copper Box Arena.  He’s a good tough German fighter and I’m certainly more inspired to put on a hard-hitting performance against him as a bit of payback,”

“It’s a step up for me and I’m looking forward to the challenge.  Pawal’s had over double the fights I’ve had and has the experience, but I’m younger, hungrier and ready to win my first title in front of my loyal fans in London.”

European Heavyweight Champion Dereck Chisora headlines the Copper Box Arena show against Ondrej Pala; Nathan Cleverly challenges Daniel Ammann for the Vacant Commonwealth Cruiserweight Championship; plus London sensation Frank Buglioni challenges for the Vacant WBO European title and Bradley Skeete v Colin Lynes for the Vacant English Welterweight title.  An action-packed undercard features Mitchell Smith, Andreas and Chris Evangelou, Georgie Kean, Gary Corcoran and Tom Baker.
