Floyd Mayweather gave his fans the opportunity to pick his next opponent and as polls closed on Sunday night, England’s Amir Khan found himself in pole position for the coveted May 3rd mega-fight.
After Maidana took an early lead, it seems Khan’s appeals over twitter have paid-off, as he now looks to be on the verge of reaching the pinnacle of boxing at the age of just 27.
Khan’s incredibly fast hands pose a genuine challenge and it shall be interesting to see how P-4-P King Mayweather adapts in the early rounds, in what will undoubtedly be a “fan friendly” fight.
The fans have spoken and now the entire world awaits Floyd’s next move.
