As one of the many talented amateurs who trains regularly inside the Mayweather Boxing Club, Ladarius Miller knows what it is like to fight under pressure. He has been surrounded by some of the most talented fighters in the world for some time now.
So when he made his professional debut last Friday night on the Floyd Mayweather promoted card that was featured on Showtime, it hardly phased him. After sparring the likes of Ishe Smith, Ronald Gavril and Luis Arias on a regular basis, it was doubtful his 0-2 opponent would give him any looks he had not seen before. Still he admitted he felt some butterflies on his way to the ring for his pro debut.
However, the butterflies soon went away once it was time to perform and Miller cruised to a four round unanimous decision win. Although he would have liked to have scored the knockout, he is satisfied with the performance and pleased he showed he has the stamina to stay strong through a four round fight.
Miller expects a quick turnaround and anticipates a busy year as he looks to establish himself in the professional ranks.
