Ever since J’Leon Love hooked up with Floyd Mayweather and begun training at the Mayweather Boxing Club, he has been on a fast track to title contention. And at 17-0, he is on the cusp of getting just such an opportunity.
His next fight is against Marco Antonio Periban, a fighter who has had his own opportunity in the past to claim a world title. Unfortunately, things did not go his way, and now he is hoping that a victory over J’Leon Love will give him another chance to claim a strap.
We spent a few minutes talking to Love during his training to ask him about how things are going during this camp. He fights on the same card as Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3, so that means he gets to go through the craziness that always ensues when Floyd is in the gym.
