J’Leon Love has been steadily making his way up the boxing ladder for the past several years. As he enters his next bout on May 3 against Marco Antonio Periban, he finds himself right on the cusp of a title shot and a chance to achieve the dream of any professional boxer.
We spent a few minutes talking with Love about his road to get to this moment in his career. He reflects on getting involved in the sport to get off the streets, as well as some of the fighters he admired at a young age.
