Bernard Hopkins spoke to the media at the Mayweather vs. Maidana press conference at the MGM in Las Vegas. The biggest question on the minds of reporters was whether or not Mayweather vs. Pacquiao will ever happen.
Hopkins pointed out all the obstacles that are preventing such a fight, and also questioned why it is that Manny has had such fluctuations in his performance levels throughout his career. He didn’t come right out and accuse the legendary boxer of doing anything against the rules of the sport, but it was quite easy to read between the lines.
At 49, Hopkins has proved a freak of nature himself, beating Beibut Shumenov just last week to remain a world champion.
