Glory makes it’s much anticipated debut in Las Vegas this weekend, and the main event features a rematch of Glory 19 when Nieky Holzken takes on Raymond Daniels. In their first fight, Holzken stopped his flashy counterpart in the third round following a series of knockdowns. This time, he doesn’t see things going much differently.
We had the opportunity to spend some time with the champion kickboxer to get his take on that fight, as well as some other topics including what he hopes will be his next opponent next month on the combined Bellator/Glory card in San Jose. There he hopes to take on Paul Daley in a battle of kickboxing star vs. MMA star. We will see if Daley is willing to answer the challenge.
Jeff Mayweather sat in on the interview as well. Mayweather is no stranger to working with kickboxers, as he has worked extensively with both Dewey Cooper and Amer Abdallah, who are champions in their own right.
Below is some of the footage of Holzken in the gym.
It wasn’t just Nieky who got in work at the gym, however. When Roger Mayweather came in, he grabbed Nieky’s son and helped him work on his boxing skills.
If you are in Las Vegas, be sure to check out the fights live. You can purchase tickets HERE.
