Photos: J’Leon Love stops Selders in 6th round

By Jody Kohn
In the televised co-feature in Humble, TX, J’Leon Love kept his perfect record intact with a 6th round knockout of Tyrone Selders. The Michigan prospect had no real trouble with Selders, remaining in full control throughout the contest, scoring time and again with uppercuts and straight rights.  The 25-year-old was too quick and after an early attempt from Selders faded, Love took over with what amounted to nothing more than target practice. It was an uppercut that ultimately did in Selders, forcing the referee to step in and save Selders from a further beating at 2:39 of round six.Love picked up his fifth win of 2012, improving to 14-0 (8 KO’s).  Selders, dropped his second consecutive contest, falling  to 8-4 (6 KO’s).  It was the first time in his career that Selders failed to make it to the final bell.
