Tavoris Cloud vs. Bernard Hopkins (IBF light heavyweight title)- I see Hopkins picking his spots and landing just enough clean shots to freeze Cloud in his tracks. Cloud is going to have to press B-Hop and stay on top of him without giving away too much. If Cloud can do this, Cloud will find success, but I have a feeling that Bernards experience will walk the young man into a cage. At that point, the only thing left will be to just throw away the key. I’m picking Hopkins to walk down his stronger younger foe by out hustling him with old school tricks. The Hopkins right cross will be key.
Keith Thurman vs. Jan Zaveck (WBO welterweight eliminator)- If Zaveck is smart, he stays in the locker room for this one. I’m not too high on Thurman, yet, but I strongly feel that his hunger can not be denied. Thurman will be too much for Zaveck to deal with. Zaveck’s best bet will be to land the left upper cut as Thurman comes charging in. Zaveck must catch Thurman in a wicked exchange. I just don’t see Zaveck winning this one, I am picking Thurman to stop his opponent inside 7 rounds.
