Nick Bellafatto speaks with WBO Jr. lightweight champion Adrien Broner.
As Cincinnati native and undefeated rising star Adrien “The Problem Broner” (23-0, 19 KO’s) prepares for the July 21st hometown defense of his WBO junior lightweight title against former Olympian Vicente Escobedo (26-3, 15 KO’s), a fighter who is considered a step-up in competition, Adrien took the time to speak with Pro Boxing Insider’ Nick Bellafatto.
Adrien would not only discuss his upcoming fight and career development up to this point, but “The Problem” would also touch upon his scheduled appearance on the HBO segment “2 Days,” of which Broner is to be the featured subject this Saturday night. “2 Days” is a 48-hour look, or lead-up if you will, that followed Adrien as he prepared to take on Salinas, California’ Eloy Perez in his most recent bout, an opponent whom Broner would handily defeat this past February.
This HBO program is set to air this weekend at midnight ET/PT on the heels of an installment of Boxing After Dark [BAD] which will feature Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire versus South African Jeffery “Marvelous Mongoose” Mathebula in a junior featherweight unification bout. Hear what the young, bold, and confident Adrien Broner had to say as he works his way to becoming a household name via the sport of boxing.
