Most fighters enter combat sports with the ultimate goal being to capture a world title. Few ever reach that level, however, with only the very best being able to claim a belt.
On May 14, in his hometown of Lockport, NY, Amer Abdallah earned the right to call himself “Champ.” A dominating victory over Danile Hughes earned Abdallah a second round TKO and a place in history.
We spoke to the newly crowned WKA cruiserweight champion to get his thoughts on what the victory meant to him on both a professional and personal level.
