Over the weekend there was quite a bit of controversy in the UK, as George Groves was defeated by Carl Froch when the referee waved off the action in the ninth round, giving Froch a TKO victory. That verdict caused a huge uproar, as many felt that it was a ridiculously early stoppage. Especially when it is considered that Groves was winning the fight up until that point, putting himself in line to pull off a big upset.
We spoke to UK star Ashley Theophane to get his thoughts on how it all went down, and to see if he agreed that the fight was stopped prematurely.
