Live pro boxing returns Saturday to the Southern Crescent Ballroom at the Downtown Marriott in Greensboro, NC. Headlining the eight-fight card is undefeated heavyweight prospect Josh Tufte (6-0, 4 KOs) taking on journeyman Ramon McLamore (6-10, 4 KOs). Tufte is a former kickboxer and toughman fighter who turned pro as a boxer about a year and a half ago. The co-main event features New York jr. middleweight Tommy Rainone 15-4 taking on 70-fight veteran Kevin Carter in a six round tilt.
Also on the card are three fighters managed by former world champion Zab Judah. Undefeated heavyweight Andy Josephs (2-0, 1 KO) takes on Jonathon Felton (5-5, 2 KOs), undefeated cruiserweight Joel Shojgreen (2-0, 2 KOs) squares off against Franklin Armstrong (6-12, 3 KOs) and Jovan Francois will make his pro debut against Kevin Sutton.
In addition, Greek amateur heavyweight champion Nicolas Argyris (5-1, 5 KOs) makes his return to the ring after a 7 year hiatus as he takes on Derek Walker (3-5, 2 KOs) and undefeated heavyweight Dave Fleming (2-0, 1 KO) takes on veteran Franklin Edmondson in a fight that should be a major step up in class for Fleming. Rounding out the card will be Josh Robertson and Walter McCray.
