Las Vegas, Nevada – What appeared to be a clear cut unanimous decision for Manny Pacquiao(54-4-2, 38 KOs), turned out to be a travesty to say the least. Pacquiao controlled the fight with his blazing speed, awkward angles, and punching power. Tim Bradley(29-0, 12 KOs) was game, and showed no signs of giving up as Pacquiao was getting the better of him throughout most of the fight. The telling blows were landed by “Pacman,” as he won most of the exchanges in the 12 round contest. It was hard to give two rounds to Bradley, let alone a split decision. In the statistic department, Pacquiao prevailed as well. “Pacman” landed 190 of 493 power punches, with Bradley landing just 108 of 390 power shots. Total punches thrown also favored Pacquiao, as he landed 253 to Bradley’s 159. Final scores were 115-113 Pacquiao and 115-113 twice for Bradley. Ringside judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross both scored it for Bradley. The decision should be evaluated by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Jerry Roth’s score of 115-113 for Pacquiao, was not that convincing either for the veteran judge. Pacquiao, after the decision was announced, looked calm and collected. We can only ponder what his post-fight reaction was in the dressing room, away from the cameras and audience.
