Adrien Broner came in at 143 pounds early this morning. As a result, Vicente Escobedo, who was to challenge Broner for the WBO junior lightweight title, decided to not go through with the fight. This is according to a source from Team Escobedo. On Friday, Broner came in at 133.5 pounds of a contracted 130 pound bout and was stripped of his title. The WBO title could only had been won by Escobedo because of Broner coming in overweight. Broner had to come in at no higher than 140 pounds this morning.
