Chisora faces unbeaten Rudenko

Dereck Chisora will continue his march back towards another world title shot by taking on the unbeaten Andriy Rudenko at the Copper Box Arena in London on February 15. Chisora will put his European heavyweight title on the line when he enters the ring against his tough Ukrainian opponent, who will arrive in London with a 25-0 record, making this an interesting fight for Betfair fans.

Chisora won all four of his bouts in 2013 by knockout, putting himself back in a position where he could be in line for a second title shot against a Klitschko brother. After a contentious points loss to Vitali in 2012, Chisora could be on track to earn the chance to take on Wladimir Klitschko later this year.

Rudenko, who has been labelled as the latest “Klitschko clone”, may be unbeaten going into the fight but you’d be hard pressed to find a notable name among his 25 victories so far, and Chisora has made it clear he is determined not to slip up this close to another world title shot.

“Let this be the year that I get an opportunity at the world heavyweight title and bring it back to Britain.”

“Rudenko is a great start to the year for me, he’s a strong, powerful and undefeated challenger who’s got his own ambitions for the world title and will be coming over here to knock me out,” admitted Chisora, whose last defeat came against David Haye in 2012.

While Chisora will be a comfortable favourite with Betfair.com going into the fights, it’s never easy to count out a fighter who is entering a bout without tasting defeat in the ring. Rudenko will have some supporters among those betting with Betfair, although the Ukrainian will need to be at his best to be able to stop Chisora from continuing his climb towards that world title.
