Talented undefeated junior welterweight Chuy Gutierrez (11-0) held a media day on Wednesday at the Pound 4 Pound Gym in Las Vegas. The popular local fighter went through a variety of routines including shadowboxing, mitt work, and hitting the heavy bag as the assembledmedia looked on.
Gutierrez returns to action on May 31 at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino, where he will take on Pablo Becerra (7-4, 6 KO’s). The fight is scheduled to be carried by HBO Latino. He was named the “Breakout Athlete Of The Year” at the Vegas Music Awards, and in his last outing defeated Moris Rodriguez on April 4, at Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas.
Right Hook Promotions put on the media day, as they are the promoters of Gutierrez, and will be co-promoting the card along with DiBella Entertainment and Sampson Boxing.
