Patrick Nielsen (23-1, 11 KOs) is preparing for battle. The Danish boxing star takes on George Tahdooahnippah (34-1-2, 24 KOs) for the WBA International Super Middleweight title on March 14 at the Ballerup Super Arena. It will be a clash of the clans when the Viking boxer meets the Comanche warrior in the Copenhagen suburb.
‘’It’s going to be war,’’ declares Nielsen. ‘’This is my first fight at 168lbs and I need to make a statement.’’
To make a statement the 23 year-old southpaw must defeat Tahdooahnippah, a top ten ranked super middleweight and proud member of the Native American Comanche Nation.
Known as the ‘Lords of the Plains’, the Comanche were ferocious warriors, feared by American settlers and rival tribes alike for their devastating raids and military mastery.
‘’I’m not afraid of the Comanche,’’ states a defiant Nielsen. ‘’Tahdooahnippah may be from a warrior race but so am I. The Albertslund Vikings fear no one!
‘’The Vikings ruled the world just as I plan on ruling the super middleweight division. The ‘Comanche Boy’ will be the first of many fighters I conquer on my journey to the top.
‘’I’m ready to take the super middleweight division by storm. I want to fight the best out there and put Danish boxing back on the map!’’
Nielsen headlines the Nordic Fight Night on March 14 at the Ballerup Super Arena, which also features Danish featherweight Dennis Ceylan (13-0-1, 7 KOs) in a must win fight against former world champion Dmitry Kirillov (31-5-1, 10 KOs). All the action will be shown live in Denmark on TV3 Sport channels. Tickets are available via http://www.billetlugen.dk.
