Undefeated two-division world champion and the reigning Fighter of the Year, TERENCE “Bud” CRAWFORD, Omaha’s favorite son, and one-time world title challenger and current No. 2 world-rated contender, DIERRY “Dougy Style” JEAN, will host a news conference announcing their World Junior Welterweight Championship fight This Monday.
The news conference, which will be open to the public, will begin at 1:00 p.m. CT, with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. CT. Joining Crawford and Jean will be Todd duBoef, president of Top Rank.
The press conference will be streamed live, beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT, via www.toprank.tv.
Crawford (26-0, 18 KOs) will be making the first defense of his World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight title. It will be the third time Omaha has hosted a world title fight for its hometown hero Crawford. Jean (29-1, 20 KOs), from Montréal, Québec, Canada, returns to the ring riding a four-bout winning streak, three of those victories coming by way of knockout, since losing a 12-round decision to world champion Lamont Peterson last year.
