It has been building for awhile now, and finally things have boiled over between Don Moore and the camp of USNBC champ Chuy Gutierrez on social media.
Several months ago, a fight between the two was scrapped, and the reason for that would depend on who you asked. Now, with the possibility of the fight once again happening, this time with a title on the line, things have started to turn ugly. Moore (DonTheChamp) made a post on Instagram, calling out the champion, and that caused friends, trainers, promoters and a host of other people backing Gutierrez to blast Moore for what they perceive his unwillingness to make the fight, despite his claims.
We caught up with Don Moore after his workout at the Mayweather Boxing Club to get his thoughts on how the whole situation has been handled, and whether or not he wants the fight to happen. Joining Moore was his trainer, the legendary Roger Mayweather, who also chimed in on what’s been going on.
This beef has building for awhile now, and if somehow, the sides can get together on an agreement, it is sure to be an exciting fight for those in the Las Vegas area, as well as around the country. These are two undefeated fighters anxious to take a step towards contender status, and a win here would go a long way towards doing that.
