Jessica Rakoczy did exactly what I expected her to do on her May 4th boxing fight. It was her first time entering the ring in alittle over 3 years, so I knew it would take a round or two to get rid of the ring rust. However I knew once she got her rhythm and natural boxing flow going, it would be a short night for Brittney Cruz!
Jessica is a very talented boxer and a super athlete. Not many female boxers can match up to her speed and boxing skills. My only concern about her bout against Brittney Cruz was her sparring for the fight. Early in the camp we had difficulty finding female sparring partners for her. So I was forced to not only train her, but spar with her as well! Luckily we were able to lock in some great sparring when Tatina “Lil Tyson” Anderson and Jessica Willson came to the rescue and gave Jessica Rakoczy several weeks of intense sparring.
Rakoczy progressed quickly with each sparring session. Her preparation was great and she peaked at the the perfect time. So I knew the fight would be simple mathematics. In other words; a matter of how many rounds Brittney would last before getting KO’ed! Staying true to my training/fight motto; “train hard – you’ll get the reward!” Jessica won the fight by 4th round TKO! Our plans next are to stay busy in boxing and also close a deal with the PNC Fight Firm in Atlantic City, New Jersey to fight MMA bouts as well!
As for me; I will be back in boxing action in late June, then fighting MMA in September. Also on June 2nd at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas live on the Fox Network, two other very exciting boxers that I train will also be fighting. WBA Light Heavyweight World Champion Beibut Shumenov will be defending his world title against Enrique Ornelias and also undefeated welterweight prospect Ravshan Hudalaynazarov will be featured on the card. Hopefully everyone comes out to support Beibut Shumenov on June 2nd! Thank you to all the fight fans around the world!
