When you first walk into the Mayweather Boxing Club, it’s easy to get taken aback by all the talent that is working out there. In addition to Floyd Mayweather himself, such talented fighters as Ishe Smith, J’Leon Love, Badou Jack, Shawn Porter, and a host of other former and possibly future world champions can be seen. Even MMA fighters can be found working on their game in the world famous gym.
One fighter, however, may not get immediately noticed because he doesn’t have the name value of many of his peers. But don’t let the lack of name recognition fool you. Don Moore is as talented as anyone in the gym, and Saturday night, he improved his record to 17-0 with a first round knockout of Reymundo Hernandez back in his native Indiana.
We spent a few moments talking to the talented prospect, getting his thoughts about the fight itself, as well as how it felt to get back into action after a year layoff. Like many fighters, “Dangerous” Don has had problems getting fights due to the politics of boxing. He speaks about those troubles, as well as how he intends to avoid them going forward.
