London stars the Evangelou brothers aim to become the next siblings to hold British titles at the same time. Chris and Andreas make their debuts for new promoter Frank Warren on the big Copper Box Arena show on Saturday 30th November, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546).
The Evangelous spoke of their dream today at London’s premier Greek restaurant Vrisaki which was also attended by unbeaten Enfield super-middleweight sensation Frank Buglioni and welterweight ace Georgie Kean who both feature on the Copper Box Arena show.
Andreas said, “Chris and I have this dream to become British champions at the same time. The three Smith brothers have achieved it which is a truly remarkable feat, but I really believe that Chris and I can also do it. We’re with the best promoter in Frank Warren and we’re looking forward to now progressing towards British title opportunities. First we are looking to make a big impression at the Copper Box Arena.”
Chris added, “Since we were kids Andreas and I have dreamed of being champions, British and then World champions, that is our target. We’ve stuck by each other through thick and thin throughout our careers and I’m sure we can become British champions together first and then win world titles.”
Unbeaten talent Buglioni goes for his first professional title on the show when he challenges for the Vacant WBO European Super-Middleweight title against a challenger to be confirmed.
He said, “I’m delighted to be stepping up to my first title fight now. It’s at the prefect time in my career and I’m ready to take the opportunity and I can’t wait to win it in front of a packed crowd at the Copper Box Arena.”
Islington star Kean, who follows up his sensational debut in September with a four-rounder against experienced Bheki Moyo, is looking forward to his return.
“After a fantastic debut, I’m now back in again against a more experienced opponent as I look to build on my career. After the atmosphere and roar from the crowd at the last fight I didn’t want to leave the ring! I love fighting and I’d fight every week if I could. The fans will see me get better and better with every fight.”
