Tuesday was media day at the Mayweather Boxing Club for the upcoming Mayweather-Cotto showdown. In the sweltering gym, fighters Jessie Vargas, Deandre Latimore, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. went through interviews and light workouts in the ring for the hundreds in attendance.
The buzz early was the news that Jessie Vargas is now scrambling to find and opponent as he was informed in the morning that Alfonso Gomez was forced to pull out of the fight. Hopefully a new foe can be found in time as this fight is a great showcase for Jessie.
Other fighters were seen roaming around the facility as well. Steve Forbes and Ishe Smith were among those who stopped by to check out the festivities.
After Jessie and Deandre met the press it finally came time for Floyd to make his appearance. As expected the atmoshere picked up as the throng of reporters fought to get the best spot for photos and questions. Eventually Floyd made his way to the ring along with friend 50 cent who was having a great time joking with the crownd and Floyd. Here are some photos and videos from the days festivities.
