If there is anyone who speaks more often and controversially than Floyd Mayweather Jr., it is likely to be Floyd Mayweather Sr. The outspoken trainer always makes for great soundbites no matter the subject. In fact, his words have even estranged him from his own son at times.
Fortunately for fans of boxing and great entertainment, the pair have reunited for Floyd Mayweather’s upcoming fight on May 4, where he will take on rugged challenger Robert Guerrero. Although he has not been completely silent, the younger Mayweather has been uncharacteristically low key so far in the build up to the bout. That is not the case with Floyd Mayweather Sr., who always is quick to offer his opinion.
In a somewhat bizarre turn of events, the elder Mayweather has engaged in his own battle with the father of Robert Guerrero, fellow trainer Ruben Guerrero. The two have been going at it fiercely since the fight was made official, with each stating their willingness to meet each other in the ring, or outside of it.
In this interview, Floyd starts off low key, discussing the fight as well as his relationship with his brothers Roger and Jeff. However, when the subject turns to Ruben Guerrero, things turn quickly. He states quite clearly that he is no fan of Guerrero and that he is willing and able to do the same thing to him as Floyd Mayweather Jr. will do to Robert Guerrero when they meet in Las Vegas.
