Oscar De La Hoya made headlines this week with his open letter to Floyd Mayweather Jr., in which he trashed the recently retired champions career, ultimately saying that the sport is better without him. And while that point can be argued to death, it obviously didn’t sit well with those in the Mayweather camp.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Jeff Mayweather, a man who himself fought Oscar early in his career, to see what he thought of the scathing comments. As you might expect, Mayweather had quite a bit to say.
