It wasn’t easy, but J’Leon Love held off a spirited Marco Antonio Periban to run his record to an impressive 18-0. With the win, Love now puts himself in line for a title shot, possibly against Sergio Bika.
We talked to Love shortly after the fight to get his take on the fight itself. Love didn’t see the contest as particularly close, despite being dropped midway through. He feels that was the only time Periban really did anything offensively. Many fans felt differently, but the opinions of Love and the crowd doesn’t matter. Ultimately, the judges spoke, giving J’Leon Love the decision by scores of 95-93, 96-93 and 97-93.
Check out what Love had to say, as well if he thinks Bika is next.
