‘King’ Arthur Abraham (43-4, 29 KOs) is back on November 21 with a voluntary defence of his WBO World Super Middleweight title against an as yet unnamed opponent at the TUI Arena in Hannover, Germany.
The 35 year-old returns following an impressive victory over domestic rival Robert Stieglitz on July 18, 2015, in which Abraham delivered a devastating sixth-round knockout win to bring a conclusive end to their four-fight saga.
‘’After beating Stieglitz for the third time, I felt like I’d been liberated,’’ said the two-weight World champion. ‘’I’ve always had confidence in my punching power. My opponents should beware, and the fans should rejoice as there are plenty more knockout victories to come!’’
As well as proving his punching power, Abraham also exhibited his resolve, having suffered a partially fractured jaw during the fight. Now fully recovered, the Berlin-based boxer is ready for his next test: ‘’Everything’s ok. My jaw has healed and I’m looking forward to getting back into the ring.’’
‘’In recent fights, Arthur has looked better than ever,’’ said promoter Kalle Sauerland. ‘’Many people have tried to write him off over the years, but he has consistently delivered, proving himself to be one of the top elite-level fighters in the world. The knockout against Stieglitz showed he has not lost any of his power, and fans can look forward to seeing the ‘Abrahammer’ again on November 21.’’
An opponent and tickets details for Arthur Abraham’s WBO World Super Middleweight title defence on November 21 at the TUI Arena in Hannover will be announced shortly.
