Christy Martin’s ex-husband and trainer Jim Martin has just been found guilty of attempted manslaughter and aggravated battery. On Friday afternoon, an Orlando, Florida, jury returned with three guilty verdicts after less than four hours. He is facing a sentence of 25 years to life.
Christy now heads to Las Vegas to train with Miguel Diaz for her June 19th fight with Mia St John for the vacant WBC super welterweight world championship at Table Mountain Casino in Friant, CA. The show is being billed as “Final Victory” and promoted by Roy Englebrecht Promotions.
This will be final fight for both girls, with Christy trying to win her 50th fight.
