Unbeaten WBA interim super lightweight beltholder Johan “El Terrible” Perez (15-0-1, 12 KOs) defends against Pablo Cesar “El Demoledor” Cano (24-1-1, 19 KOs) on Saturday night at the Grand Oasis Cancun in Cancun, Mexico. Perez faces his toughest test against Cano, who is best known for his gutsy effort after stepping in on short notice against ring legend Erik Morales in their September 2011 title fight.
The co-feature is a ten-rounder between lightweights Jorge Romero (22-5, 19 KOs) and Rudy Lopez (25-5-2, 16 KOs). FOX Deportes will televise in the United States.
