Floyd Mayweather Sr. had always assumed he would hang it up as a trainer when his son retired as a fighter. But once he started working with talented TMT cruiserweight Andrew Tabiti, he started to change his tune. Now he believes he will stick around long enough to see Tabiti capture a world title.
The two have been working together for over a year now and have developed a unique relationship. Anyone who sees them hit pads knows they have great chemistry. And they also like to have fun while working hard. They constantly argue in a playful manner, with the never ending debate of who is faster being the most frequent topic.
Whatever it is they are doing, it has been working great. So far Tabiti has been victorious in all nine of his professional fights, with each victory being claimed by knockout. It won’t be long until Tabiti finds himself in contention for some titles.
We talked with Tabiti to get his thoughts on working with Floyd, and how that has helped him so far in his career.
