After an exciting and successful broadcast this past Saturday from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Wealth TV will continue to fulfill their promise in delivering quality fight entertainment on a consistent basis by featuring live boxing from the “City of the Angels”.
The current Middleweight contender is energized about the prospect of fighting in front of the Los Angeles boxing faithful.
“Wealth TV is quickly becoming a player in the world of boxing and is doing a tremendous job of bringing great fight cards to the casual fight fan,” explains Sergio Mora. “I’m very excited to be included in their already strong fall lineup, and genuinely thrilled that I’ll be fighting in front of the great boxing fans of Los Angeles!”
While the date and city have been slated, the venue and opponent are still unresolved. “The Latin Snake” has his eye on another former world champion.
“It would be an honor to share the ring with former Middleweight kingpin Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor at either the Nokia Theater L.A. or the world renowned Kodak Theater. I think a fight of that stature would be appropriate for what Wealth TV is trying to accomplish.”
Both Taylor and Mora are former champions in search of their next big title opportunity within the revitalized Middleweight division. With great certainty, the eventual winner of the proposed 160 pound match-up would be primed for a championship opening with Gennady Golovkin, Daniel Geale, Sergio Martinez, or Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Mora is looking forward to the challenge.
“Because of various mitigating circumstances, I haven’t had the opportunity to fight in front of my hometown fans until now, and I want to compete against the best possible fighters in one of the most talent enriched divisions in boxing. The die-hard boxing fans of L.A. deserve to see the best fighting the best, and a fight with Jermain Taylor would be exactly that.”
