The WBA flyweight world champion, Hernan “Tyson” Marquez, has spent two weeks in his training camp in Oxnard, California, working with Robert Garcia for the highly anticipated unification bout with WBO king Brian Viloria, scheduled for Sept. 29th at a venue to be defined in the State of California. “Tyson” Marquez (34-2-1, 26 KOs) is putting in the best work possible to overcome “Hawaiian Punch” Viloria (31-3-0, 18 KOs). It will be a co-promotion by Zanfer and Top Rank and televised in Mexico by Azteca 7.
“It will be the best preparation of my career. I have a very professional team. I have engaged well with Robert Garcia and his team, we are training hard and doing interesting things. I have also developed a strategy and we are working hard at the gym,” Marquez said. “There is a great atmosphere with his team and with all of the excellent fighters like Brandon Rios, Maidana, Pavlik and all other boxers who train at Robert´s gym. I’m motivated and have everything I need here in Oxnard, there is no doubt it will be a great camp. I am only concentrated on my workouts.”
