For nearly three years Quatavious Cash has put in work inside the Mayweather Boxing Club, but had been unable to climb into the ring for real. So he continued to train, often sparring with TMT stars like J’Leon Love, Andrew Tabiti, Ronald Gavril and more. While that kept him sharp physically, mentally his uncertain fighting status made it difficult for him to keep plugging along.
Finally, with his contract issues behind him, he was able to climb back into the ring in his native Atlanta and do what he was born to do. While he may have missed fighting, he didn’t take much time enjoying it. In under a minute of the very first round he scored a knockout of Marcus Brooks and improved his record to a stellar 9-0.
We spoke to the middleweight about the long layoff, brief return, and all the things he has gone through over the past few years. Check out the interview below.
