Guerrero decisions Aydin

San Jose, California —Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero (29-1-1, 18 KOs) beat Selcuk ‘Mini Tyson’ Aydin (23-1, 17 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision, to win the vacant WBC interim welterweight title. Guerrrero was the more active fighter and also had a busier work-rate.

The power of Guerrero, however, did not seem to follow him up to the welterweight limit. Aydin connected the more telling blows in the later stages of the fight, but it was too late as Guerrero was well ahead on the scorecards. All three judges scored the fight for ‘The Ghost’ , 117-111 and 116-112 twice. The fight was fought near Guerrero’s hometown of Gilroy, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
