Hall will need to do the same against Martin Ward in his fight later this month, and I think Ward will make life difficult for the first five rounds of their fight, but then I see Hall coming through to win to set up a clash with me for later this year.”
Liverpool Flyweight Kevin Satchell square off against Isaac Quaye, the mandatory challenger for his Commonwealth Title, in the chief-supporting contest, and was in confident mood after coming face to face with his Ghanaian opponent for the first time.
Satchell said: “he’ll be coming to win, but unfortunately he’ll be going home empty handed.”
Whilst London 2012 Olympic Captain Tom Stalker, who also features on Saturday’s card, spoke of his desire to build some momentum after returning to action at The Copper Box last month, after a lengthy eight month absence:
“I felt a little bit rusty last time around, but I suppose that’s to be expected after eight months out. This time I’ll be looking to put on show in front of my fans, in my home city, and show what I’m really about.”
Boxing’s return to Liverpool’s historic racecourse this Saturday will also feature a talent-packed undercard that includes a mouth-watering dustup between two of Britain’s best young Light Middleweights, Ronnie Heffron and John Thain. Whilst the excellent Terry Flanagan will be looking to show why many are tipping him to be the best in the domestic lightweight scene.
Bantamweight prospect Ryan Farrag will face off against former British champ Jason Booth, whilst Jazza Dickens, Matty Fagan and Stephen Lewis are also all in action.
